CAMPBELL, Elizabeth Jackson (Lily)

   Another name for Elizabeth was Lilly, Lily.

  General Notes:

According to Toil, Tears and Triumph Lily Campbell, daughter of Archibald Campbell and Ellen McPherson of Kincardine Ontario, married George McLeod in 1888 and went with him to Oregon where they had 4 children: Stewart, Rena, Floyd and Grace. (FM093)
Lily appears as age 38 and George's wife in the 1900 Kingsley Precinct census. They had been married 12 years and she had immigrated 12 years previous. They had the 4 above mentioned children. (FM334a)
George died suddenly in 1902 leaving Lily as his Executrix. (HM0014a)

Lily married Archibald L. Pugh on 30 September 1903. He too had had a previous marriage with children from that marriage.
Lily next appears in the 1910 Kingsley Precinct census (FM354d) as being age 50 and married for 6 years to Archibald Pugh. Living with them are children: Stewart, Floyd, Ruth, Christine and Alda. Floyd would have been from her previous marriage. (FM354d)

The 1920 census for The Dalles shows Lily living as head of the household with daughters,Ruth, Christine, Alda and 19 year old son, John, from her previous marriage. (FM354g)

Lily died in March 1941 in The Dalles and is believed to be buried with Archibald.

Elizabeth married George M. McLEOD, son of Alexander McLEOD and Jessie UNKNOWN, on 8 Feb 1888. (George M. McLEOD was born on 1 Jun 1856 in Kincardine, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, died on 12 Aug 1902 in Kingsley, Wasco County, Oregon, USA and was buried in Kingsley, Wasco County, Oregon, USA.)
