Registration of death gives same date. Also states Archie was a bush contractor, age 54 and unmarried. The informant of death was Roderick Matheson, nephew of the deceased. (FM320l)
Note that age 54 at year of death of 1893 would make DOB abot 1839.
Noted events in his life were:
• He immigrated from Cape Breton aboard the brigantine 'Spray' in 1857 to Waipu, New Zealand. Passenger list shows Archibald as being 24 on voyage. From other information about his DOB he would have been 29.
Archibald married.
